Badar you've highlighted a very good point here. The village people should not be influenced as much by the power hungry mullahs. These people form the majority of our population and when the majority is ignorant of the facts there'll be nothing but chaos in the country.Another problem in our country is that there are several segments which are power hungry. The army on top which is followed by the corrupt politicians and our ever religious mullahs. For our mullahs religion is what will help them win seats and not what Allah revealed through our Holy Prophet(S.A.W).Naturally the majority-the illiterate people are unaware of what to do.Awareness is necessary for bringing a change in our country.

Theres an old saying in Politics "The highest spender wins". So if the masses of Pakistan are masively poor and illiterate, and the educated middle class is working day in and day out to put food on the table and pay the bills, who are we left with? The same corrupt army officials or the select families that have grabbed on to power since the time of the British. The utopian idea of sustainable democracy in Pakistan can only be achieved after the achievement of a sustained economy. A sustained economy can only be reached through foreign trade and investment which in turn requires political stability. Education of the farmer's sons and daughters is the answer to this dilemma. Our rural population needs to start forming their opinions by reading books rather than listening to the sermons of some power hungry mullah. Only then will people start thinking about bettering their own lifes rather than focusing on fueling their own hearts with hatred for the Jews and the Indians. The country's primary industry will move to secondary and the secondary to tertiary. Pakistan will begin to reap all the rewards that globalization has to offer because corporations will be more confident about their investments in the region. Unemployment will fall and members from even the lowest economic class in Pakistan won't have to worry about where their next meal will come from. It is only then that people will start focusing on their rights. It is only then that the forces of evil such as dictatorship and corruption will be fought against. "Demos" "Cratos". "People" "Rule". Once the masses are worthy of ruling themselves, nothing will be able to stop them.

As far as Musharraf is concerned, I wish he wasn't in uniform because I truly respect his policies and his leadership abilities.

Tell your mom I said Salaam.
